Named for the Morrocan capital city, RABAT twists and turns like the dark-alleys of the city’s Medina. The Moorish design’s playful, interlacing forms make a pattern referred to as girih, the Persian word for knot. Complex and entwined, RABAT’s girih pattern is infinite and expansive, which Islamic culture believes extends beyond the material world and acts as a bridge to the spiritual realm.
